Changing IDs- The most important job you will ever do.Edit
So, you decided to get into a menial task of repeatedly changing IDs for shits and giggles. Good on you, the first thing you should know however is how to do this. In your office is a blue console. Open the interface and insert your ID, or the captains. (But, why would a loyal number two like yourself be in possession of the captains ID?) This ID will act as a login and authorization card. Next insert the ID you want to modify. You should see the names of the various jobs. Clicking these will automatically change the card to the default access for that profession. To change access to a specific area just click that on the interface. Simple. It may also be a smart idea to create a second ID card so that you don't have to continuously take your ID out to open your window. Or you can simply click the window with ID in hand and it will lock it open.
You can also, change the listed job on the card to whatever using the custom button.
First off, your true job is to stay in your office, granting and denying extended access, NOT to give all access to the Mime and/or Clown. This means that you should be doing what really matters. Asking why. This job involves a lot of questioning, and a lot of the people who play this job are neckbeard losersrather incompetent not suited for it. WHY exactly does that shifty Security officer need access to the Chaplains Office? WHY does that Assistant want access to the Bridge. The answer shall come when you question them.
"Err yeah, I just got out of school and I'm not really suited to being the Chief Medical Doctor..."Edit
Another job that you will find yourself doing a lot as the HoP is job changes. Often times the playerbase is not completely suited to playing a job that the server decides to pair them with. As such it is your duty to make sure they can get a job they can actually do. Once again it all comes down to questioning and the reasons behind things.
Make sure to give a thorough background check before promoting somebody to a security or head position.
Do note, the HoP is NOT security, no matter what the popular opinion states. INSTEAD, they should be staying in their office writing out paperwork or some shit. Anyway, there is a reason you don't start in security and that's because you don't belong there. Once everything that needs to be done is done you can go and check up on the progress of the employees, but DO NOT be a Hero. After all, you are only one person. What can one person do..?
